Cologne-based artist Louis Schneider, aka Louie Chur, blends soulful vocals with a warm sonic tapestry of synthesizers and Rhodes, paired with shimmering guitar textures and distinctive grooves. His lyrics strive for a sense of sensuality and connection to the present moment, while also giving a strong voice to the critical spirit of our times.

Driven by the search for a unique sound and the creative collaboration with other artists, Louis launched his first solo project under the name Louie Chur in 2025. Alongside his band project Soda Frizzante, which he founded in 2019, this new venture marks a clear departure from the band’s synth-pop influenced sound. Instead, Louie Chur moves toward a more jazz-, neo-soul-, and R&B-oriented aesthetic, drawing inspiration from artists such as Jordan Rakei, Sam Wills, and Ray Lozano.
